Founder Dougie Mackie brings nearly two decades of international experience, having collaborated with renowned brands such as Warner Bros, Red Bull, and Carlton Draught, as well as networks like ITV UK, TVNZ and Australia's Channel 10. His extensive background enriches our storytelling approach.
Our core team includes industry experts like Hayley Warnock, a senior video editor known for her consistency, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring deliverables often require minimal to no revisions.
Additionally, Bertrand Remaut, serving as Director of Photography (DOP) at Damn Handsome, brings a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to excellence.

Dougie Mackie

Dougie began his career in NZ radio before studying in London to become a seasoned filmmaker who has gained comprehensive experience in marketing audio and video productions globally over the last two decades. Delivering high budget broadcasts and online campaigns across Auckland, London, and Melbourne, working in collaboration with esteemed agencies, iconic brands and some of the biggest names in the business.
Bertrand Remaut
Director of Photography
Bertrand Remaut is a French / Kiwi director, cinematographer and editor. He studied film in Paris, travelled around the world getting people stories and pictures, and now lives in Auckland, New Zealand capturing for advertising, documentaries and indie films. When he doesn't shoot a film, he is probably writing one.
Hayley Warnock
Head of Post-Production
In 2016, Hayley earned a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television from Deakin University. With seven years of professional experience, she excels in video editing for various content types, including branded, training, promotional, events, narrative, documentaries, and stop-motion animation. Beyond her editing work, Hayley is the Founder of Set To Hike, a prominent YouTube channel and content creator in the outdoor domain. Set To Hike serves as a leading platform for hiking enthusiasts in Australasia, offering education and inspiration to fellow adventure seekers.
Michael Hsu
Live Production Director
With over 18 years in video production, Michael Hsu has worked for Taiwan’s mainstream TV stations and directed live multi-camera events for celebrity concerts in Taiwan and NZ. He has contributed to major productions, including Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2, and worked with CCTV and Phoenix TV in China on international projects. Previously, Michael was Production Manager at NCTV Freeview CH32 and CEO of Asia Pacific Production. His expertise in live directing, multi-camera setups, and high-end broadcast operations strengthens Damn Handsome’s live production services.
